Join PlanPhilly for a special evening of conversation with Janette Sadik-Khan, former New York City Department of Transportation Commissioner and author of the new book 'Street Fight: Handbook for an Urban Revolution.'
During her time as Transportation Commissioner under Mayor Michael Bloomberg, New York City striped 365 miles of bike lanes, and installed over 50 pedestrian plazas--the most sweeping change to the city's streets in a half-century.
This event will be a unique opportunity to engage with one of the world's most respected leaders in urban transportation and leave with some lessons and inspiration for Philadelphia.
Reception and registration will begin at 5:30 pm. The program begins at 6:30, followed by a book signing at 7:45. (Books will be for sale.)
Light refreshments will be served, courtesy of sponsor Yards Brewing Co.
This event is sponsored by Urban Engineers, the Mayor's Office of Transportation and Infrastructure Systems, and Indego.
